Quick Facts about the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program
Program was established in 1998 and is one of 12 prepaid tuition programs left open in the country!
The program is sold in Nevada however the benefits can be used nationwide at eligible higher education institutions.
Currently over 21,040 families have purchased Nevada Prepaid Tuition contracts.
Program oversight is provided by the Trustees of the College Savings Board of Nevada.
The College Savings Board traditionally meets 6 times a year and the meetings are open to the public.
The statutes governing the administration of the program are found in NRS 353B.
The program is required by statute to have an independent audit conducted every year. The audit report is provided and included in the published annual report of the program.
The program is required by statute to have an independent annual actuarial analysis completed. This actuarial audit identifies funded status. The funded status of any program should be 100%. As of the last actuarial analysis (June 30, 2018) the Nevada Prepaid Tuition funded status is 142.0%!
