      Program Overview

The Transforming Opportunities for Toddlers and Students (TOTS) Grant Program is providing grants to Nevadans with disabilities to help them recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and work to increase their opportunities to save for a brighter future.

Eligible children with disabilities can receive grants of $5,000 to use for everyday expenses such as school tuition, tutoring expenses, transportation, assistive technology, and other disability-related expenses.

These grants are intended to support children with disabilities who faced disparate impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated economic impacts through building resiliency and increasing opportunities for advancement.

Being that assistance programs could potentially jeopardize an individual’s ability to qualify and maintain eligibility for benefits like Medicaid, Social Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Income (SSDI); grants awarded under this program will be deposited into an ABLE account in the individual’s name to ensure their benefits are protected.

All grants awarded under this program, are not required to be paid back, and are intended to help Nevadans with disabilities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

An initial $5 million has been allocated for the TOTS Grant Program. It is anticipated that 1,000 grants will be awarded under this program.

10/26/21 Update: We are currently experiencing high demand for the TOTS Grant Program and have received a higher number of applications than we have in initial funding for the Program.

Submitting an initial application for the TOTS Grant Program does not guarantee receipt of grant funding. Once you apply using the form below, your information will be stored in the event that additional funding becomes available in the future.
